Yes, of course it is a mismatch.

It’s true that Logan Paul, at 6-foot-2 and around 200 pounds, will have some 50 pounds and 6 inches on Floyd Mayweather Jr. when they share a boxing ring on Feb. 20, 2021.

Yeah, I’m making fun of this out-of-left-field event, but isn’t that what these extravaganzas are all about? Fun … and making money. And this one could do serious business, because Mayweather isn’t nicknamed “Money” for nothing. He has been the A-side of the four biggest-selling pay-per-view events in boxing history.

New to the sport and yet determined, 25-year-old YouTuber Logan Paul plans to bring Floyd Mayweather out of retirement. The under-qualified boxer who lost his debut match against KSI is set to fight the undisputed box king, Mayweather, amidst criticism from many, with Canelo Alvarez saying it’s “lack of respect to the sweet science.” Although Logan Paul has a four stone six inches’ height advantage, no one pays attention to that because he loses in all the other departments being considered. The CEO of Fanmio, Engel, reminds fans that anything can happen in boxing, and they should not be against it just because of the traditional background of both fighters. Besides, Logan’s following seems to be good for business.

His 2015 points win over Manny Pacquiao smashed the record with 4.6m sold, with his fight against UFC star Conor McGregor two years later coming in at 4.4m.

As for Jake Paul, brother to Logan, it is not clear who would be in the ring with him. He would like to fight Connor McGregor, and his manager tried to reach out to Michael Bisping;

Conor McGregor is finally acknowledging Jake Paul‘s existence … calling the YouTube-turned-fighter a “confused little kid” … but definitely not shutting the door on a potential fight!!

Jake has been on an all-out blitz to get ‘Notorious’ to be his next boxing opponent in recent months … even offering the UFC superstar $50 MILLION to make it happen.

Now, Conor is giving his response to the challenge … and while it may initially be a huge bummer for the 24-year-old, the dream is most definitely still alive.

“That is what it is,” Conor told BT Sports on Wednesday. “We’ll see what happens. That’s it. He seems like a confused little kid to me, to be honest.”

Conor gives Jake credit for his willingness to get in the ring … but ultimately, it sounds like Paul will be fighting someone else come April 17.

However, it seems like this YouTube sensation will go one on one with “Funky” Ben Askren in LA, according to Chael Sonnen. Ben’s former training partner Anthony Pettis argues that Jake opted for Ben because he is a world-class athlete but does not know how to fight. Anthony has offered to help Ben train for this match hoping “Funky” would shut Jake up.

Content creator turned KO artist Jake Paul will be returning to the ring April 17 as the featured attraction of Snoop Dogg’s newly launched Fight Club on Triller pay-per-view.

In addition to professional boxers, Kavanaugh said that the opponent could even be an MMA fighter who is crossing over into the sweet science to face Paul. It is not yet clear what caliber of opponent will be pitted against Paul.
